Eva Longoria Parker wants a new career as a "music video vixen". The actress shot to fame playing Gabrielle Solis in TV drama Desperate Housewives. In the latest series of the show one of the main characters dies, and Eva has joked she has come so close to revealing their identity she might have to find a new job. "I am always being asked about it and a few times I have nearly told everyone," she is quoted as saying. "I did not die. I know that much. But maybe I am lying. Maybe I am dead. Maybe they did kill me off. Maybe my new day job is going to be in music videos. A video vixen." In the show, a plane crashes into Wisteria lane, killing off one of the residents. If Eva is pulling an elaborate double bluff, she could always make a full-time move into the restaurant business. She recently opened a branch of her eatery Beso in Las Vegas, and has revealed she loves nothing better than tucking into a hearty meal. She said: "Anytime there is Mexican food around, you can bet I'll be eating it. I'm not a chocolate person and I'm not into sweets. I'm a meal person." |

It's an unseasonably chilly evening in L.A., but that isn't stopping the stars from partying. At least two events tonight are in the same place: The Luxe Hotel in Bel Air is hosting the Creative Coalition's dinner celebrating Latinos in entertainment as well as a release party for The Official Michael Jackson Opus, a massive book about the King of Pop. Dana Delaney, copresident of the Creative Coalition, arrives first and tells me that there are three upcoming deaths on Desperate Housewives, including a main character. Who is it? "It's not me," she adds. Eva Longoria Parker arrives at 7:30 and dashes across the carpetperhaps trying to avoid the frigid temps. When I run into her inside, she agrees to answer questions "as long as it's not about lip gloss or diet." She tells me she's not getting killed off the show either, so Gabrielle fans can breathe easy. "It's not me, so that's important!" she adds. She also tells me she'll spend the holidays in Texas. |
