Variety says that an Argentine native, Gabriela Tagliavini, has written and is directing this new comedy based on a James Canon novel, Tales From the Town of Widows. In the comedy, “Eva Longoria’s character leads a group of women in a remote Latin American village forced to fend for themselves after their men leave to fight in a civil war. A battle of the sexes ensues when the men return to reclaim their power.” IMDB lists Christian Slater, Paul Rodriguez, Oscar Nunez, Judy Reyes, Monica Huarte, Maria Conchita Alonso and La Misma Luna’s Kate del Castillo as also in the cast. |

Eva Longoria has ''always wanted'' to shave her husband Tony Parker, but he is afraid she may cut him in the process. The 35-year-old 'Desperate Housewives' star - who married professional basketball player Tony Parker in 2007 - wants to try helping her spouse with his personal grooming routine. Judging the Gillette Fusion ProGlide 'Ultimate Summer Job' contest in New York, Tony revealed: "She's always wanted to do that. But no, I shave myself. She's always like, 'Let me try'. But I'm like, 'No'." The San Antonio Spurs player admits he's scared his wife may cut him if she helped him shave. Despite both having busy lives and careers, Tony is adamant the couple like to "keep it special" when it comes to their marriage. He explained to People.com: "We always try to keep it special and make sure you don't fall on your routine. The brunette beauty recently revealed her husband is her "best friend". She said: "We are just best friends. I love his company and I am married to the person I want to be with. |

Eva Longoria Parker is ready to say goodbye to Wisteria Lane and hello to motherhood. "We're thinking about it. Pretty soon," the actress' husband, San Antonio Spurs player Tony Parker, told UsMagazine.com at the Gillette Fusion Ultimate Summer Job event Tuesday in NYC. "She's got one more year with Desperate Housewives, so we'll see what happens." According to Tony, 28, his wife - with whom he'll celebrate his third wedding anniversary in July - would make a "great" mom. "I'd be great. I love kids," Tony added. Does Eva -- the youngest of four girls -- want to have a large family? "We'll see. It depends on her," Tony told Us. "I don't care [if it's a boy or a girl]. I would love to have both." In the meantime, Eva, 35, is busy shooting Without Men in Santa Barbara, Calif. while her husband is on the road with his team. "Skype helps a lot," Tony said. "As long as you both make an effort, it works...[but I miss] not being able to kiss her every day!" |

 Eva Longoria Parker has a body to be proud of. And it seems that she is, as she walked around set showing off her curvy frame in knickers and a vest top. The actress was filming her new movie Without Men in Santa Barbara, California. She stood at the door of her trailer in her underwear and bare feet, before slipping into slippers and a loose wrap. Even then she didn't bother tying it, walking around set with the dressing gown undone. After getting her hair and make-up done Eva later changed into a blue cotton dress. Eva is filming an adaptation of James Canon's novel Tales From The Town Of Widows in which she stars as Rosalba viuda de Patiρo alongside Christian Slater. The film tells the story of a remote Latin American village where the female inhabitants are left to fend for themselves after the male inhabitants are forcibly recruited by a band of Communist rebels. But while the Desperate Housewives star is hard at work, Eva says there is nothing she loves more than staying at home with Tony. The 35-year-old revealed: 'I’m a 1950s housewife. I love baking. I love sewing. Being home with Tony. 'My mother was like that. Always took care of her husband. I always admired and wanted to do that.' Tony turned 28 this month, and Eva pulled out all the stops to make his big day memorable. She lavished him with presents, and celebrated for two weeks in Miami, LA and finally threw him a party in Las Vegas at her nightclub, Eve. |

The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) today announced its 2010 highest honors to be awarded at its 33rd Annual Awards Gala on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 in Washington, D.C. The event is hosted by Toyota. Actress, activist, and philanthropist Eva Longoria Parker, and jazz legend, classical musician, professor, and international music ambassador Arturo Sandoval will each receive a 2010 Medallion of Excellence for Leadership and Community Service. Award-winning Broadway composer and actor Lin-Manuel Miranda will receive the 2010 CHCI Chair's Award from CHCI Chair Rep. Nydia M. Velazquez. This year's Hispanic Heritage Month theme is "Celebrating History, Heritage and the American Dream." "I am truly honored to be recognized by the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute with the 2010 Medallion of Excellence," said Longoria Parker. "I am humbled to receive this award from CHCI that places me among a distinguished list of past honorees that have been acknowledged for their leadership in improving our community and our society as a whole. He was thrilled to play evil Patrick Logan, the psychotic ex-boyfriend of Drea De Matteo’s character Angie Bolen. The 43-year-old star had a riot on set and says he particularly bonded with Drea, as well as Eva Longoria Parker who plays Gabrielle Solis. “Eva and I hit it off because she’s just as naughty as I am.
