Eva Longoria Parker was doing it for the kids Tuesday night—just not her own. "Nope!" she quickly answered when asked if she was planning to be a parent herself anytime soon. The Desperate Housewives star was on hand to host her Padres Contra el Cancer benefit, which helps children with cancer. So what does she want most when she is expecting her own child?

"People always say 'I want a boy! I want a girl!' I just think, Oh my gosh, I just want a healthy child," she told reporters. "That's truly a gift. If you're a healthy adult, to complain about anything in life that's so minute, you really have to be grateful for everything that you have and do something with it."

Good health wasn't the only thing on Eva's mind last night. The Obama supporter said she was looking forward to catching the presidential debates, which were happening as she walked the carpet. "I was listening to it as I was getting dressed," she said, "and then I had to turn it off because I want to hear it in its completed state."

Eva Longoria Parker and George Lopez hosted the PADRES Contra el Cancer to benefit Latino children with cancer. This is the 8th annual event, and Eva doesn't want it to stop, "Your heart breaks and you know you just have to continue to do this work."

The "Housewives" told "Extra's" Tanika Ray, "We try to increase the survival rates of Latino children because we have the highest death rate amongst all children." Tara Reid, Constance Marie and Daisy Fuentes were also in attendance. To donate to PADRES Contra el Cancer, click here.

Pregnancy rumors didn't stand a chance with Eva's supersleek, glittering gold dress. Eva was much more comfortable having shed her "D.H." fat suit. "It's been so hot in L.A., so to have this big thing on ... I'm like, 'When am I gonna be skinny again on the show?' because I just want to get it off."

In this Sunday's episode, viewers can look forward to a catfight! Eva dished, "Teri Hatcher and I go at it and we get in a fistfight, and that was so fun to shoot ... smacking Teri around a bit. I like that!" An all new "Desperate Housewives" airs this Sunday on ABC.

She’s always in touch with her Latino heritage, and last night Eva Longoria was looking fine at the Padres Contra El Cancer 8th Annual El Sueno De Esperanza Benefit Gala (October 7). The 33-year-old actress was all about showing off her newly-acquired curves in a cleavage-baring champagne-colored scoopneck dress with matching peep-toe heels.

Eva Longoria Parker insists she's in no rush to lose weight -- even though her expanding waistline is fueling rumors she is pregnant. The Desperate Housewives actress, 33, has repeatedly denied her sudden weight gain is down to pregnancy, claiming her new physique is down to over-eating -- and she has no plans to cut back.

Eva says, "I have a personal trainer who comes to my house and works me out. It is not my favorite time of day but I have to do it. I work out because it makes me feel more energized throughout the day - not for the superficial reasons. I'm not obsessed with my weight. It is not at the forefront of my mind. I'm a real foodie and I love being that way."

Enjoying a sunny morning out and about, Eva Longoria was spotted taking her family for a shopping spree in Beverly Hills on Tuesday (October 7). Sporting a grey Omnipeace t-shirt with jeans and a Spurs cap, the “Desperate Housewives” hottie and the gang then made a stop for a little pampering, getting their nails done at a Hollywood salon.

It has been reported that Eva Longoria will become a guest judge for the new season of “Project Runway“. The Golden Globe Award nominated actress is going to appear on the show on its sixth season that starts in January.

“She is absolutely going to be on the new season, and she’s delighted about it,” as Life & Style has stated. “Execs want to kick the show up a notch.“ Beside Eva, the Peabody Award winning show is preparing for the best by already having other lined up celebrity guest judges such as Lindsay Lohan and Rebecca Romijn. As stated by the host Heidi Klum, “What has been really great is that we’ve had so many great stars come on the show, which I think a lot of people enjoy watching.”

Related to the announcement on April 7 by the producer, Weinstein Company, that the show will relocate from Bravo TV to Lifetime, “Project Runway” is already producing the sixth season in LA for the January airing. However, the legal dealings between Weinstein and NBC Universal can cause the series to be delayed at least until next summer.
